Once the home of William Bayard Cutting, the expansive Long Island estate is now a public arboretum run by the NY Department of Parks. The idyllic grounds on the banks of the Connetquot river are home to a large collection of rare trees as well as a manor house designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the designer of New York’s Central Park.

The managers of the arboretum approached us to design an identity to reflect the refinement of the house and grounds, as well as a new signage and wayfinding program that would facilitate quiet meditation and the peaceful enjoyment of the arboretum’s network of paths.

Work included logo design, signage and print collateral design.
